GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE SURVEY

This national research on violence against women is part of the Combating Gender-Based Violence in Mongolia project, which began in June 2016 and will continue until May 2020 with the support of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). The project, overseen by a Steering Committee jointly chaired by the Ministry of Justice and UNFPA, has the overall goal of strengthening the national capacity to combat gender-based violence, particularly domestic violence, by improving GBV data collection on the extent, nature and general conditions of partner violence, promoting an effective victim protection environment and increasing public knowledge and awareness.
