Interviewer instructions
Circle '1' for 'Yes', or '2' for 'No'. We want to know this procedure was performed during any of the antenatal checkups during her last pregnancy. It does not matter if they were performed only once or more than once, or performed in the same visit or spread over several visits.

A blood sample may be taken from the woman's fingertip or from a vein (usually from a vein near the elbow or on the wrist). The blood sample is used to test for various diseases, such as anaemia, parasite infestations or infectious diseases.
